I just realized that mobile data is no longer working on my S3. Most of the time it's connected to wifi as I work at my desk, so I didn't notice any connectivity issues. The other day I was in a larger town where there is good 4G coverage and I had no signal. I wrote it off to something other than the phone. Checked it out again at home a day later, where I usually have a weak 3G connection, and had nothing. Checked it out today while I was out with my daughter, and while she had a good 3G connection and could bring up a web page, I had nothing on the S3.

I've been over all the settings, and don't see anything that should prevent it from connecting. Planning to take it to the Verizon store tomorrow, but thought I would post and see if anyone had some ideas for things I can check.

Get Carbon Copy loaded and back up your stuff. It's under a year old, and any corporate Verizon store will swap it with a new one if they can't fix it on the spot.

I've had that problem every so often on my Droid X2. And yes, restarting does fix it.

sometimes when I get into really dead zones with my iPhone 5 it will take forever to reconnect to 3g/LTE so I just pop it into airplane mode for a second then back to normal it goes... faster then reboot

Interesting. I tried disabling/enabling mobile data a couple of times, but that didn't help. I would think airplane mode would be doing essentially the same thing, but I'll give that a try if it happens again.
