She tells me I havent updated my roaming area in quite sometime and I said fine, i'll do it when I get out of work. Now, this is totally my fault for bringing it up, but I asked her the following two questions and her answers (i summarized it) are below each questions.

1 - "Is there a software update available for my phone since I purchased it when it was first released."

"*228 should update the software and your roaming area. If your phone keeps dropping calls and/or you get really low reception this will alleviate your problems."

"No, I need to update my phone NOT my calling coverage."

"Oh, I have no idea as to what you're referring to. You can go to a Verizon store and have them check it out for you."

2 - "Ok, there's a store on Oregon Ave and I was wondering if there's a tech on site."

"Let me check. No, no stores are on Oregon Ave. The zip code you provided gives me a listing of stores in a 5 mile radius."

--- She goes on and tells me there's a radio shack but that doesnt have a verizon rep on site.

"I know, it's NOT Radio Shack and I wouldnt buy my phones from Radio Shack. This is a new Verizon store that just opened up a few months ago."

"Hmmm, my listings doesnt show any stores on Oregon except for the Radio Shack."

-- I go online and found the freaking store.

"Nevermind," I said, "I've found it online. BYE!"

all the reps for all the wireless companies are dropouts who pretend they know what they're talking about

I need to switch service. My contract doesnt expire until 2007!

On top of all of this, she thought "upgrading my software" meant upgrading my phone.
"Oh, you're not eligible for a phone upgrade."

Stupid not found.

She can only go by what the listings show her. Blame the company, not the worker.

The first question i totally blame her. The second, it's gotta be their out-of-date listing. but it's all there online?!
