it's not dual core... don't know what phone you're talking about :)
Why would you hope it flops? What do you have to gain from that?

I don't think it's going to flop , I think it's going to sell big.. as long as they can get any problems resolved and get it released reasonably soon.

This really sucks though... I was going to get the Thunderbolt primarily because it was coming out now. By the time it is available though, the Bionic and the ip5 will be out so i'll have to choose between those.
I suspect the LTE power draw problem will delay those phones as well.

LOL at the iPhan downthread who doesn't even know what this phone is.

I'll go play with this at the store, but I ain't even considering buying one until I see multiple reviews saying its battery life isn't shittastic.

I gave up waiting and got an iPhone 4 after playing with a friend's iPad and HTC Evo; I couldn't be happier :)

I bet Apple is loving this. So many Verizon customers were waiting for these 4G phones and not getting the iPhone 4, and every day a few thousand more customers are deciding to wait for the 5.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704150604576166694202120296.html

Verizon Wireless sold more iPhone 4s during its initial launch than any other product in the carrier's history, said Chief Executive Daniel S. Mead.

I don't think the average consumer fully understands 3G vs. 4G or cares about not being able to talk while surfing the net on their Verizon iPhone 4's. None of my nerd friends got the Verizon iPhone, but a bunch of consumer-level friends have. The ones who are a bit more into tech are mostly waiting.

Those who bought the iPhone 4 immediately aren't really the point. The point is people (like the post above yours) that were waiting for these 4G Android phones just heading for the iPhone 4 instead.

Like me. I bought a Verizon iPhone and I'm waiting for the newer Android sets this summer. Why get the iPhone? I was able to get it at contract price and I am banking on it selling for more than that come summer (a 99.99% certainty especially with Apple products) when I will be getting whatever new Android phone I like best (Google Nav has no competitor on the iOS side).
