There has been a couple of times when I've called someone (who is on a land line) and during the middle of a long (~1 hr) conversation they will stop hearing me (I ahve a note 4). I can hear them fine. This might las as long as 5 minutes and it will start working again.

What I am unsure is if this is an issue with verizon or the phone. Clearly the connection was not lost since I can hear them fine; but the phone just stops sending audio (no it is not on mute). I would equate it to a packet or duplex issue if this were tcp but unsure what technology is being used for normal phone call.

Is there any reasonable way for me to determine if it is the phone or verizon ? It is really weird since the receiving audio is still crystal clear. Nothing has to be done to restore the transmission of audio - it just comes back after a few minutes (dont' actually time it so not sure how long it takes).
