Verizon frequencies

Anyone know where I can find the frequencies Verizon supports for 3g and LTE?

I'm looking at phones and see all kinds of frequencies and getting a bit confused.

EVDO: 850 (the original "cellular") and 1900 (PCS)
LTE: 700 (Band 13, the "upper C block" - not interoperable with anyone else's 700mhz bands) everywhere, 1700/2100 (Band 4 or AWS) in cities.

"XLTE" is what they're calling their AWS LTE service. Don't buy any devices without it.

That is NOT to say "1700 or 2100." It's a single band, with 1700 as the uplink and 2100 as the downlink. They work together.

Some people see "2100" on a phone and then wonder why it doesn't work on a Band 4 network.

Ok so Verizon uses 700 and also 1700/2100?

On this page they say those numbers and T mobile or Att.

You can't use generic model listings to figure out what bands a VZ phone has. And you can't use non-VZ phones on VZ. So it's really simple.

Anything before the S4 doesn't have AWS (so avoid). The S4, X, and G2 (again, VZ-specific models only, you literally can't activate non-VZ devices) got AWS via baseband firmware update. Every LTE phone after those definitely already has AWS.

edit - IOW, recent VZ phones are great for taking to other carriers, because they're all SIM-unlocked and have a pile of HSPA bands and AWS LTE (also used by T-Mo and AT&T). But you absolutely can't go the other way and take another carrier's phone onto Verizon.
