Just read that link and the person mentioned in it, is clearly running a business. I highly doubt a residential user would ever hit that cap. He needs to pay for a business data plan.

Once you go FIOS it's hard to go back!

FiOS is so much better than what I ever had with SuddenLink, Comcast or Cablevision, it's not even remotely funny. It's night and day. Any time I visit womeone who does not have FiOS, their net connection feels like it's stuck in cement.

I have the FIOS 20/5 plan and its great. Roadrunner would throttle their cable lines but with FIOS you get what you pay for 24hr/day. Plus, FIOS gave me the 20/5 plan for the same price RR gave their 10/5 plan. As long as their is FIOS I'll never go back to cable Internet. I can upgrade to faster FIOS but frankly I don't need to so why pay the money.

FiOS is amazing. It took a very long time before we got FiOS in apartment buildings in NYC but now when we finally have it, its like a dream. It is soooo ridiculously fast. I cant possibly imagine needing more than a 50MB plan which I have ever in the future.

And whats best, is that Verizon is far, far less invasive than Optimum or Time Warner. Verizon doesn't send these annoying anti-p2p letters to people(at least from what I heard), and doesn't ever throttle anyone for anything, unless they are using the service like that sick 77TB bastard mentioned above. (seriously, people like that are raping the world any chance they get, and give others a bad name. Greedy people like that is the reason why anti-piracy laws are so relevant today. Live and let live mofo!).

I hate Comcast, but I'm stuck w/ them. I'm working on getting a better package from them now.

FiOS is never coming to my city, but it's in neighboring areas. I love the radio ads from Comcast that try to prove how they offer a better package than FiOS and it's just laughable. I'm on Charter and I get 45Mbps burst and 32Mbps sustained down and ~4Mbps up. It's more than suitable for my needs and it's only $45/month. That said, if I move to an area with FiOS I'd get it just for the kicks. Enjoy your internet moonbogg, totally jelly over here.

Dafuq?

If you read the article, you'll see that the guy was one of like 2 people on his GPON. The bandwidth wasn't being used by anyone else, and he literally could not saturate it even maxing out his connection.

You need to take your own advice. Live and let live. He wasn't inconveniencing you, or anybody else.
