I have Sprint and they are doing the exact same thing to me right now.

My contract expired with Sprint a few months ago and they started calling me everyday. I told them if they called me one more time I'm going to terminate my service and go with another carrier. I haven't heard from them since.

I had a similar experience w/ Qwest. I switched to a Cox phone, cable, and internet bundle after Qwest jacked up my DSL price. They have called and sent flyers nonstop

I had two months left back in July and VZ had a promo then for buy one Chocolate and get one free. I talked with their rep and got both mine and my wife's upgraded for free with the credit + 1600 overdraft min. Cost me total of $0 for two new nifty phones. For all the complaints I hear about VZ, they've been pretty good for us. 2 yrs contract is no big deal, it's our second renewal. The E815 from the last upgrade is still good for spare.

What are the overdraft minutes you speak of? I have never reall haggled w/ a rep to get something extra, just took what they offered. Maybe I should try it out this time around. This will be my 3rd renewal.

Sort of like if you go over your alloted minutes during the month , then it'll hit this pool of overdraft instead of nailing you for 45 cents/min. It was a promo to upgrade and renew at the time.
And the E815 was working perfectly - not having any charging issue mentioned. I do like the Chocolate paired with bluetooth stereo wireless earpieces and it rocks as MP3 player.

I wouldn't mind getting an offer for a cheaper upgrade my phone is terrible. It's gotten into a bad habit of not ringing and it takes about 5 seconds to navigate between the menus. I'm trying real hard to avoid paying full price for a phone.

2yr contracts suck. I hate the small little fact that when I first signed up with verizon and the whole 2yr deal thing... I was under the impression I WOULDN'T have to sign another 2yrs to get that $100. I've been peeved ever since. But since everyone I know has verizon, I guess it's benefited me. I don't think I'll be doing any more two year dealies though. Unless verizon actually gets some phones.
