Veritas backup software

This is my first time dealing with having to purchase backup software. I would like to know what sup with Veritas is this a good company. What benefits do you gaib from there software over the regular nt back. I would be purchasing the backup agents for exchange 2000 and sql server 2000.
 
we use veritas backup exec and it works great. we had better luck using backup exec than we did using the regular nt backup. the agents let you backup sql server without having to shut down the instance, and using the remote agent we can backup all the servers on the network from one machine. i think the user interface was a lot better and easier to use than the nt backup that comes with windows, too.
