Ventrilo server hosting?

How would I go about hosting my own ventrilo server for free?
It doesn't need to be always on, but it would be nice.

instead of ventrilo, i see that x-fire allows voice chat....

so i got that and so did my friend. we joined and can see each other on x-fire but the voice chat doesn't work.

Set it up through a group. Once everyone is in, then initiate the voice chat. If it gets dropped you can reconnect in-game by pressing F12 in the chat menu.

is it possible to have an ip address with a 0 as the fourth octet???

i didn't think it was but when i go to like whatismyip.org or one of those type of sites, my ip address is #.#.#.0

Ok so I DL vent server program version 3.0.2 and I cant seem to set it up, ive tried everything it says to do but I always end up with a cannot bind to TCP socket error.

Does anyone know how to set up the vent server that could help me out? thanks in advance!
