Hello, I'm buying a new computer and I can buy a venice 3000+ with the following stepping: BW-E6 0535EPIW. Anyone knows something about this stepping/production week?
I appreciate your help!

i had a e6 3000+ 0530CPFW and i got it as far as 2.6ghz @ 1.65v. most of them can do 2.4ghz easily so YMMV. good luck with your oc.

Well but not as well as the E3 stepping Venice.

yeah, you will have a better chance at a good oc with a E3. 2.6@ 1.65v is not a very good oc. most e3's get 27. @1.55v.

Thanks,
So you say that the lastest weeks of the venice (E6) are not good OCers?
Should I try to find an E3 or go with that one?
Thanks again!

I recently purchased a Venice 3000+ and cpu-z says that it is revision DH-E3. Is this what people are talking about?

Can anyone suggest a place where you can still buy e3 chips? The only e3's I could find are retail packages. I was hoping to get one OEM. eWiz used to sell them, but I don't see it on their site anymore. However you can get the 3500+ Venice e6 very cheap these days. Anyone know how these chips OC?
