Vending machines

2 out of every 5 times I use the vending machines here at work, they either do not vend, items get stuck, or it takes my money without registering that it has taken my money.
But I get hungry and need a snack sometimes. I guess it's worth the gamble, but it has to be on purpose. There is no way something so simple could fvck up so often.

I hit the button at my work for an item in the vending machine before realizing the first space was missing. I was like oh god that is so retarded. But when it finished moving the empty spot forward, it paused for a second and then moved up the second slot item as well, I guess it sensed nothing dropped. These ones are pretty smart.

I spent $5 dollars at the grocery store, and I have snacks for a few months stored in my desk. You spend $5 dollars and get maybe 3 sh!tty candy bars.

exactly. and it is usually the sea cows that hound around it where i work at. i usually hear them talking about how they want to get the "healthy" chips but they need at least two bags to fill them up.

We've got an excellent vending machine in the cafeteria at work. It's built like a traditional vending machine (plexiglass front and auger-type dispensing mechanism), but is chilled, and holds only drinks. But it holds your traditional unhealthy stuff like RedBull and Hershey's Milkshake Chocolate Milk (BUT SO GOOD), but also healthy alternatives like V8 and skim milk. But the kicker: It knows if an item was dispensed or not. So if the auger turns and nothing falls, it starts turning again till your drink drops. No more eaten dollars. I can't imagine why every machine isn't built like this...unless it's because they actually want to steal your money. Hmmm...

my friend works in the "call center" for a vending machine company, when people call and complain about their lost 50 cents. why dont you try doing that?

they work 96.3% of the time for me (ok, I can't remember the last time one failed, but I usually use 1-2x per week and I don't want to jinx it)

They're fine until they start taking debit.
Heh, the ones on campus take these special cards which you load up with money. I spend so fscking much on vending machines.

coke once tested out temperature sensitive vending machines....if it sensed the temperature was going up, it automatically raised the rates....be happy it's not like that AND it steals your money

vending machines at work are as evil as girl scout cookies and $1 chocolate bars at the work kitchen that some parent brings in as a fundraiser so that their kid can go to summer camp or duct tape their principal to the wall .... it works on the guilt factor, and negates my working out.

it's ok, i like to help the kids go to summer camp .... mmm, crunch bar. jackpot!!!

Just remember that on average more people are killed under vending machines than by by sharks....

I'll go with the devil option!
