I did some reading about this one only yesterday! Turns out it's a stealth game much like the Splinter Cell series. Hide in the shadows, evade the enemies and complete the mission objectives. Fight only when necessary. It's single player only and I just checked yesterday to see a 6.2/10 score on metacritic.

Wiki has more related about this title here (the Morphine Mode sounds like Bullet Time!)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabotage_(video_game)

I think I'm going to buy this one, since Splinter Cell has always drawn me into it's gameplay. Been waiting for Conviction for so long now, hoping this will be a nice fill-in.

Odd that it would get such a low score - it's actually a pretty good game so far - reminds me a bit of Thief and Splinter Cell.

I really wish there was another Splinter Cell coming out... and for the PC too. The multiplayer in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory kept me going for so many hours... I played that nonstop for a long time. :) So much fun...

quite misleading, thats from user reviews....and sometimes those are biased as well seeing that some people rate without prior experience with the game. Halo 3 on metacritic was a 2/10 before it was even released.

Nice, I'm going ahead and buying it. I don't really get bothered by the website reviews.

While I LOVED Thief, Hitman, and especially Splinter Cell, I can't get over the fact that this is yet ANOTHER WWII game. Seriously, haven't they made enough of these? The genre got old years ago. I want more modern day black ops. I want a PC version of Metal Gear. A more stealthy version of Assassin's Creed. A better Riddick. Just for the love of Christ no more WWII.

meh, more original complaint please, example: "I'm tired of people crying about the number of games romanticizing the greatest conflict in human history"

I agree there are a ton of games based on WWII. But haven't they mostly been pure FPS games? I might be wrong here, but except for this title, are there any other stealth based WWII games?

i don't mind the WWII games that much. I find it a very interesting period in our history.

That doesn't seem too far off XP

It is interesting, but there are plenty of other wars games could be based off of though. I mean, as intersting as WWII was, we already know a lot about it. But other wars like Viet Nam War, Korean War, WWI (and some other random wars I don't remember off the top of my head) are pretty significant times as well, but I don't think many people know a lot about those wars.

Commandos, but it's a different kind of stealth since it's real time tactics not FPS.

I have completed Commandos: Behing Enemy Lines and Commandos 2, absolutely excellent games but I guess they haven't been any stealth games in the third-person perspective like SC in the WWII period except for this one.

Now that I remember, Commandos 2 was such a brilliant game, I just loved the level in Burma and the level called 'Bridge Over the River Kwai'. :)

the stealth kill animations are cool....too bad there are only so many.

Game sucks so far... I just got the explosives for the fuel depot... (first level) and it's just so boring. I have to "sneak" around and be so slow... I just want to show some skill and kill everyone quickly instead. If I got like 30 bullets with the pistol I would be good. :D

Yeah - it's gonna suck if you want a game where you mainly do nothing but fill your enemies with lead with the occasional boot to the head for good measure. :D

no, i haven't heard of any other stealth based WWII games, which is the originality that's going for this game. but it's still fighting the damn nazis, still using the same clunky, loud weapons, still in europe, etc.

you could do so much with a stealth game... ninjas in post industrial japan? space ninjas? black ops ninjas? drow elf ninjas? secret society ninjas? future high tech ninjas? does it really have to be another WWII game? it can even be any other war... in the history of the world... but i had to be WWII?

lol, space ninjas, just imagine space ninjas in DOW2. It actually does sound rather interesting and fun.

but this actually sounds like an interesting game. I think I'll have to try it out.

Does the knocking out enemies work like in splinter cell?

You don't knock them out, you kill them. Every time it is a random draw of knife in the back or slit the throat or knock them down and put a bullet in them...

If you guys want to see typical gameplay... It'll be on youtube soon. I have a full like.. 40 minutes of gameplay being uploaded. Levels usually take <30 minutes, but I love to take my time and die a lot. >_>

Looks pretty decent.

However I have enough games right now and I normally won't pay $50 for a SP only game unless it kicks ass. This is something I might pick up when it's $20 or $30.

Since it's not a WW2 FPS, I'm okay with the WW2 setting which could actually set up for a pretty cool story.
