vegitarian maybe, but vegan, doubtful. takes a lot of work to eat correctly for a normal person to get all their nutrients through veganism, even wrose for an athlete.

Do me a favor, stop posting. You are insulting my intelligence and wasting my time. The person who started this thread imposed himself more than I did with my one link.

If I wanted to tell people what to do, I wouldn't bother to do it indirectly.

Stop assuming things, it makes you look retarded.
Yes, I AM insulting what little intelligence you have. I find it fun, and amusing.
I really don't care how I LOOK because of my posts. Look at your posts and realize how retarded YOU look.

Mabey if you didn't get your little anti-meat panties all caught up in a bunch, you would be taken more seriously?

I am not the one who is angry about what people choose to eat.

Still, you choose to assume. For that I feel sorry for you. Continue to live a life of ignorance and arrogance. I hope you get what you deserve.

Please, if you will, explain to me your reason(s) for going vegetarian, then returning to a diet including meat and bashing those who don't.

I havn't ONCE bashed you for your diet. I wouldn't do that. I bashed you for posting the typical www.factoryfarming.com post that the typical militant veggie posts.

After you got offended and after reading your other posts, being a sarcastic prick was free game.

Why do YOU care that people bash vegatarians? It's just a diet. WHy are you taking it personally?

I live with two meat eaters, and not once do i criticize them for what they eat. I have never criticized anyone for what they choose to eat, yet you mark me as a militant anti-meat protesterr or something of the sort. Why? Just because of that one link?

Oh, I am also taking it personally because you made it personal with this: "Yes, I AM insulting what little intelligence you have. I find it fun, and amusing."

Whoa..personal attack again. Great thinking there big guy. No, you haven't wasted much of it, 'tis not precious anymore.

The only problem I had with you, is that you based your opinion of me from that single link. I think that is wrong, but to each his own.

To answer your question seriously...

I quit being veggie because of the limited fare available at restaurants, family functions and supermarkets. Dietary supplements were becoming much too expensive.
I also just downright like the taste and texture of meat.

I just like to poke fun at vegetarians. The best is when I go out to eat with some vegetarian friends, and they order fish. I ask them, fish is meat you know right?
They respond with, oh, fish is the fruit of the sea.
I always got a kick out of that.

Yeah, seems like many don't consider fish to be "meat". Hell, I know some who think that vegetarians eat chicken.

Edit: You never said why you went veggie in the first place.

Sure, there are three forms of macronutrients, fat, carbs and protein, out of those three there are two which are essential, fat, and most notably fish fats which contains both of the essetial fatty acids and protein, most notably meat and animal products that contain the 8 essential amino acids, but there is no such thin as an essential carbohydrate. Carbs are basically only energy, people used to think it was a great thing before they realised that the glucosamines do the same thing, so just eat more protein to fill your depots and get creatine to help with extreme bursts while you are doing it.

You CAN eat only vegetables and remain in good healt, but it takes a LOT of work and thats why most vegetarians are anemic, if you eat a balanced diet with meat, fish, vegetables, fruits etc you will get all of the nutrients you need without having to think twice about it.

We ARE omnivores, we always have been, except for those who only eat fish and meat like the eskimoes.

You can get omega3s without eating fish. Also, by eating a fortified breakfast cereal, you can get many of your amino acids that way. You are right though, it is more difficult.

That doesn't make eating meat more healthy, or not eating meat the same. You can be healthy doing both.

Yea there are still the veggies I know that eat chicken, but nothing else. That concept escapes me.

I typically don't eat that much meat. A couple gf's I had were fairly hardcore vegetarians. So I figured I would try to cut the meat out of the diet completely. It was ok for a while I didn't really notice a whole lot of difference in my diet. It also resulted in a lot more bj's from the gf's because they claimed it "tasted better", which I believe to be complete bs.
The real back breaker was when grilling season came around. I could only take so much grilled portabello, zucchini and eggplant as the staple of my grilling diet. Veggieburgers and the likes just did no satisfy the need of feeling full.
So I went out and got a 1.5lb strip steak, and it was all over from there.

That doesn't make eating meat more healthy, or not eating meat the same. You can be healthy doing both.

How much glutamine can you get? How much cysteine? If you do not know already Glutamine is one of the "conditionally essential" amino acids, it also acts in ways that prevents muscular metabolism which is a measure of health, Cysteine is an amino acid that works in the same way anti-oxidants do, only more powerful.

Yes, you CAN be healthy but it takes a lot more work, to be just as healthy would require even more work.

So if you have nothing else to do you can sit and calculate ways to cook your meals to eat healthily as a vegetarian, most people don't have the time and just eat fish and veggies, red meat and rice, and so on and so forth.

I can understand if you do it for ideological reasons, but for health reasons it is most definently counterproductive.

I was a vegetarian for a few years. Soooooooooooooo you can throw my ignorance out the door and usher in yours.

Please, if you will, explain to me your reason(s) for going vegetarian, then returning to a diet including meat and bashing those who don't.

My ex gf was vegetarian for a few years before she met me, then she learned the truth about macro nutrients and health and did the healthy thing, she started eating meat again.

The question was directed towards SampSon, but thank you for your answer. Care to go into the details about macro nutrients and "health"?

Good, cause I do not do it for health reasons. :)

But of course! You know me so well. How could I live knowing that I helped kill one with each chicken sandwich I ate :).

Edit: I guess I wouldn't call them little. Can't forget the swine either.

Yes, indirectly. You do know what that means right?

Do me a favor, stop posting. You are insulting my intelligence and wasting my time. The person who started this thread imposed himself more than I did with my one link.

If I wanted to tell people what to do, I wouldn't bother to do it indirectly.

Stop assuming things, it makes you look retarded.

I think that is cool that you make a sacrifice for something you believe in, more people should and from what you have posted you are smart enough to know what to eat to stay healthy.

More power to ya!
