I've never had it , but have wanted to try it.

From what I've read, marmite is more palatable though.

Are you talking about the NZ version of the UK version of marmite though. ;) Otherwise said the UK marmite is pretty much exactly the same as Vegemite except maybe more spreadable and a slightly stronger flavour.

UK-Marmite is a little more bitter, in my experience.

Vegemite's okay, but a little strong for its flavor.

they sell vegemite and marmite at safeway here (canada), so maybe they do in the states too?

near the marmelade and stuff like that, but up high where the stuff no one buys is. :p
