I'm shopping around for an impromptu Vegas vacation (my first w/my fiance, as I haven't been there in over a year) for this upcoming weekend. Departing Saturday early AM, returning Monday early AM.

How much would a reasonable package price be for air+hotel for 2 people? I've been scouring priceline, hotwire, expedia, lastminutetravel, biddingfortravel, etc. but prices are pretty outrageous give the short notice.

How much do you usually pay for your 2-day vacation packages to Las Vegas, departing from what airport?

My gf and I are going the last weekend of May, trip is completely free (airfare + 3-nights of hotel on the strip)

Gotta love airline and hotel points...

To the OP:

Forgot to answer you question. Don't know exactly how much it will cost (it would help if you tell us where you are flying out of), but get a hotel off the strip. You can save a lot, and the hotels are very nice too so you aren't missing much...

Thanks BCYL, but we won't have a car so taxi's, and I'm worried ground transportation costs will add up fast. :(

Very cool with regard to your free trip, have fun! Where will you be staying? :)

Hotels off the strip are your best bet. I sayed at the Clarion (on Flamingo I think, could be wrong), and the prices were much better than the strip. They even free limo service to certain hotels on the strip.

Even hotels off the strip wouldn't be that far, some are just a couple of blocks away and you can basically walk (esp this time of yr won't be too hot). For example for Westin is a very nice resort, and it's only 2 blocks away from Paris. If you like to gamble, staying off the strip has another advantage since the casino at your hotel will be less crowded.

I will be staying at the Aladdin...
