If you have ever went to Vegas or saw the emails the hotels send you, they have little calendars showing the prices for that night.

Why the hell is Feb. 17 ~$550+ a night? (Mirage, Luxor, Treasure Island) That is the weekend we planned to go and all the weekends around it are very cheap comparatively.

Damn.

Anyways... how do you guys get the $69 night hotel rooms?

Any week-end will be 2-3 times the weekday price.

Any special event going on (not just in LV) will then increase the price again.

People that are willing to pay will drive the prices up.

Adjusting your sights geographically outward will lower the cost somewhat, but the same multiplier will be true.

You could always stay at the Riv. That's always cheap. Wynn just sent me an offer for two nights complimentary. well, comp now...but I paid 10 fold in the past. It hurts...

if you play poker you can generally get a pretty big discount if you play a certain number of hours per day. I was at Venetian last week, 6 hours per day gets you half price on a suite.

Not if there are no more rooms left. Besides, I think the OP would like to go there knowing that he already has a room waiting for him.

he didn't say there were no rooms left, he said they were expensive.
