I've never stayed at either, but I've spent a little time in both casinos. Neither casino is among my favorites, but I would probably pick Paris because to me it seems to be a little more upscale.
I've never stayed at or been to the Monte Carlo but i have stayed at Paris. It's really cool if you can get a room facing the strip. The view of the fountains at Bellagio is so awesome. The bathroom in Paris was cool too.
Didn't actually spend a lot of time IN the casio (we were holed up in our room for most of the trip..lol), but the it had a nice Frenchy feel to it and the guest check-in area was really pretty.
with all that said...I'd pick Monte Carlo (if it's nice) because I've never been there. But Paris was definitely nice. Whatever you decide...have fun on your trip!!
Bellagio is also a great suggestion, but they seem to be getting pricier every time i check. Luxor - affordable, good location, 1 zillion times better than excalibur (needs to be dozed, ASAP)
But if you're insisting on one of the two, definitely Paris.
Stayed at Monte Carlo 3 weeks ago. Their rooms are usually at a good price. However this time, the service was very bleh. Had to ask for my 2 for 1 breakfast coupons twice upon checkin. Was part of the deal when booking online. Ive heard Paris is good. Also check out the new Price is right show at Ballys, Opened April 25th. I was there before it opened, so i didnt get to go. Also Phantom of the opera at Venetian.
For buffets- try Mirage's cravings. Been there many times, its always good.
I have stayed at both and I would pick Paris for sure. It is in a better location and is just a nicer hotel in general. The MC pool sucks, unless you are going with little kids which were, unfortunately, quite plentiful last time I was there.
If the pool is the deal breaker then Paris is not for you unless this one will suit your needs Paris LV Pool. I wish my office at Paris had a view of the pool.
