It is a bit of a pickle. Given the rise of asic resistant Ethereum AMD GPU is getting swallowed up again. I've even considered selling my xfx 480 black edition and weathering the storm with an older Nvidia card then picking up a Vega with almost no extra cost associated.

Between miners and Apple... Sheesh.

It was observing from the fact that Vulkan is replaced with Metal2 and this API sounds like its apple-only meaning AMD GPUs (and their own inhouse GPU for that matter) only. Correct me if I am wrong but Im thinking this is the direction or approach they are taking.
