I have a Corsair XMS TwinX XLPT 1GB PC3200 running @ 2-2-2-7 timings
Using a 2.9V Vdimm

does anyone has a similiar type of ram or a cas 2 ram and running at a higher voltage?
do u know if it is safe to run it higher then 2.9V in a long run?

On the rig in the sig, I have run as high as 2.96 volts to my 2 x 512MB BH-5 for gaming (on a regular basis) I run 2-2-2-11 timing in dual channel, with interface enabled and 1:1 timings all the way to 221 x 11 on a stock board and BIOS.

On a moded board, I ran the same setup at 225 x 11 at 3.1 volts to the RAM for seven months. I pulled than RAM and am still using it on another rig.

I run @ 3.3v, but I use VX gold, which is made for those voltages.

I don't think your TCCD chips will improve any over 2.8v

so thats my roof i suppose, thought i could get 220 Mhz on tight timings (2-2-2-7)
seems like 220 Mhz fails memtest86 badly
and 218 had 2 errors after 23 loops

216 seem rock stable, 🙁 doesn't justify the price I paid for these RAM

if going over 2.8V won't help me go higher then 216Mhz
then I'd rather down the voltage.

I run the RAM in my sig at 2.7V

2.5-3-3-6 1T at 250 FSB

I had some Patriot TCCD up until a few weeks ago. It maxed out between 215-220 @ 2-2-2-5, 2.7v or above didn't make a lick of difference. Loosened the timings to 2.5-3-3-6 and it was rock stable at 250, again voltage made no difference. Above results were for an IC7-Max3.

Not true I was able to extend my ddr spped and timings by using a 2.85v...However since my Gskills have no heatspreaders they need to be partial actively cooled..I directed a case fan on them. Without the case fan on them under extreme tetsing they will error out in like the 10th pass in memtest....

The truth is the little bit less you can get with 2.85v versus 2.8v may not be worth...Timings usually start getting to the 3-6-6-11 range and you are better off dropping the divider and running cas 2.5.....

My gskills are rate up to 2.9v so I am within spec for the warranty to still be good...

My stuff id the GBLE models and are rated at PC4400 550ddr cas 2.5-3-3-7 and PC3200 cas 2-2-2-5.....

in order to run higher fsb's or htt's with tccd, you're gonna have to loosen your timings and use less than 2.9 volts...

hmm, in which case, I must use cas 2.5 then?
i'm trying to maintain 2-2-2-7 timings and just shoot to as far as it can go

already using a memory divider of 5/6
