VCR to DVD conversion services?

My mom has a few tapes that she'd like to convert over to DVD so she doesn't lose them. Anyone have recommendations for easy and cheap services that'll do this for her? Doesn't make sense to buy a capture card, etc. for just a few tapes...am I wrong?

I wanted a OTA HDTV usb tuner. I bought a hauppage branded tuner, and it just happened to have a cable come with it that could capture via s-video and composite on top of OTA HDTV. I was able to capture VHS tapes that were close to 25 years old to mpeg2!!

You could by a VHS/DVD combo that does VHS->DVD.
