My CPU vcore seems to be too jumpy, and it's so inconsistent that it really decreases my stability when trying to overclock. Like at 2.4 ghz i need a lot of vcore (got a crappy chip) so if i set vcore to around 1.68, which is what it needs, it'll go down to 1.61 and up to 1.71, but since it keeps dipping so low it loses stability, because it's not getting the juice it needs. I also have this problem when system is at stock speeds, but since it doesn't need much vcore at stock speeds it doesn't make any difference. My old PSU (Antec 350w) died on me after i got this system, so i bought a new one (Enermax noisetaker 420w), all my rails are better now, but the CPU vcore is still jumpy like it was before.
I keep hearing i don't need a high power PSU, but it does seem like it. Or maybe it's a problem with my motherboard or something? Both of the PSUs i've had should easily be able to handle my sytem, or so i've heard. Any settings i can make or something that might help out? I've tried different bioses. Cool and Quiet mode is disabled. I could raise the vcore more, but then it would peak at like 1.75, which would be too much.
