just wondering whats the actual vcore for athlon, mine is a 650 .18 core.

isn't 1.6, or is it 1.65.

in my abit ka7-100 m/b if u define vcore as 1.55, the voltage monitors in the bios health status
shows 1.6, i set 1.6 it shows 1.65, i.e always a 0.5 higher always that i define, is it because
the power supply giving slightly higer voltages, even the i/o voltage behaves the same way. i set
3.3 it shows 3.34. or is it the probes showing more.

can i just set at 1.55 (1.6 as monitored) and 3.2 (3.26).

also after a few hrs of usage, the cpu temp is about 45C at vcore of 1.65 (actual, st is 1.6)

pl. help.

Don't worry. 650 runs at 1.65V. Abit mobos have problems with either under or over-reporting the Vcore and i/o voltage. I have my overclocked Gig set at 2.05 and i/o voltage at 3.5V (stabilize AGP vid card) and Abit monitoring software is reporting 2.07V and 3.53 respectively.

Now about your core temp, what kind of heatsink and fan are you running? 45C is decent but not great. However, if you are running stock heatsink/fan then it should be OK. Only when the chip gets beyond 50C that you should be worried. If you are not in the mood to significantly lower the cpu temp by getting a GlobalWin Vos32 or Alpha P7125 (great coolers) then just invest in 2 90mm or 120mm fans and increase ventilation in your case. With better ventilation, you can get the temp down to sub 40C.
I used to have an Alpha cooling my 750 core. It was able to handle some overclocking to 880Mhz while maintaining the cpu temp at around 44-47C at full-load. Since then I have entered the realm of peltiers and water cooling and now it is running at 1Gig at temps of 36-38C at full load.
