Vcore dips under load

Hi,
I'm looking for the thread/forum which talks about why Vcore dips under load. E.g. when I run Prime95 on my 1.6A@2.4 with 1.7Vcore it dips to 1.63V. This drop seems considerable. Is it normal? Is it because my motherboad hasn't got a 12V connector?
Of-course I can understand why load might cause a current increase and consequently a voltage drop but I'd expect motherboards to handle this.
TIA

I think the thread that you're looking for it on overclockers.com. I have a good enermax power supply and after reading that on overclockers I decided to try it out. My vcore never ever deviantes...it's a constant rail. Anyway, when I run prime it dips by about 4% but it's automatically overvolted anyway and doesn't go under 1.5volts. Your Vcore can run within 90% of its set value and you shouldn't be concerned about it. Even with this great power supply a slight dip under prime 95 seems normal. I wouldn't worry about it. Just as long as you don't have a cheap ass power supply that will dip more. If you set Prime 95 to your processor it will abuse it!!!! Hmmm....only done file 58 of warcraft three...hurry the frick up!!!!!!!
