VCD Rip

I've tried some software for ripping DVDs to avi files, but I haven't found an app that has a VCD to avi rip functionality as well. Any suggestions?

first you should losslessly rip the vcd to mpeg:

From there, there are any number of programs you can choose to convert mpeg to avi (I own TMPEGenc). I've heard Super (freeware) is good but never tried it myself.
Also keep in mind that unlike dvds, vcd's aren't very high-res/detailed at 352x240, so converting them to avi will reduce the quality.
