VC Memory, what is it?

Has anyone ever heard of this Virtual Channel RAM? There is an article about it on acidhardware, but that is all I have ever heard of it. The stuff sounds like it is better than regular RAM and not much more expensive. Also if you think it is any good, do you know were I can get some of it from a good, reputable memory manufacturer?
 
If you run VC ram you can only run vcram not sdram or anything else..I know upgrade planet had a deal on 256MB of pc133 vcram for 75 dollars!! i got in on it but I canceled my order because i got a new mobo w/rdram.

Yes RDRAM is the tool of the devil. AHHHHHHHHH everybody run and hide quickly before the RAMBUS lawyers sue us all. So does anybody know what VC RAM is?
