Please, no. Separation of church and state - or in this case, separation of religion and politics. If you want to make it a "Religion and Philosophy" forum, that would be better, but I don't think we need another subforum. Non-political news should be in OT, not a subforum. P&N should remain P&N.

Meh, most religious threads here end up in the same pointless flaming that goes on in P&N anyway. AT is not the place to go for serious religious discussion.

The flaming goes on, but there is some exchange of information and serious debate that goes on (really) in religion and philosophy threads.
All important issues are hotly debated (even to the point of attracting trolls), but that doesn't mean we should only have "fluffy" topics on the forums. Though politics and religion are both potentially volatile categories, they shouldn't be lumped together in the same forum.

Your're right, AT isn't the place for religious discussion, but I see no reason why the occasional religious topic can't pop up in OT. I don't think we have more than 1 or 2 out of every 100 threads become a religion thread.

Some people don't visit OT, so they wouldn't even see this thread if. AT isn't that stupid, although if some of those changes were real then I might have to retract that statement about them not being stupid....
 
It's a pity this is a joke, because I think the rep system would be a blessing as long as it applies to mods as well as the rest of us. That would be the single biggest improvement to AT since it's start up. We all know who the asshats are, we all know they should be kicked to the curb, since no one behind the scene's has the intestinal fortitude to show them the door, the rep system would allow the members to do it.

Nope rep system is horrible cus people would find ways to abuse it. People would rate each other down just cus they like PS3 or Xbox or if they're conservative or liberal.

BUT THIS IS A BIG SHENS ANYWAYS SO WHO CARES!!!!!!!!
