vBulletin Plugin Suggestions

haven't had a chance to read up on the whole thread, but if there's a plugin that allows you to NOTIFY MODERATOR on a thread so they can be alerted there's a possible issue on a specific thread, rather than posting in a PFI type environment, that would be awesome.
 
Oh here's one: A mobile version of the forums. Browsing and posting on this site from my iPod touch is really painful.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned.
 
don't know if this have been suggested yet. Is it possible in the vBulletin to show the creation date of a thread?
 
No to Reputation system
No to inline pics/graphics (please...for the love of god...)
No to 10 char limit (if possible)
No to attachments (for a cleaner look)

Yes to skinning the vb board to look like our current FT board.
 
L&R should have a mode where people can post anonymously. It'll curb the 2nd accounts being created for people who just wanted advice, but wish to stay "anonymous" within AT, lol. There should also be a limit on how many times one can do this (like once or twice a year..etc)
 
In the vB L&R forum, I'd like a feature that allows the OP to mark their posts as Anonymous in that specific thread.

There's one (vB plugin) I use which utilises GeSHi for code / syntax highlighting.
 
I haven't read the entire thread. Here are my suggestions:

- Have a "GetNewPost" link for every thread. So when you clicked that link it would take you to the first post after the last one you've read. This way you can always pick up in a thread where you left off.
- No rep system
- It would be nice if we could set our default search to 'Titles Only'

we have that on fusetalk - "last read"
 
I would definitely not update to vbulletin right now anand! VB was recently acquired by another company, and therefore we're yet to see how they do in terms of security and implimentation of the product. Tons of new code will be edited, changed, and modified. I would NOT update to vbulletin due to the fact there's a an extremely high probability that this forum would go offline for some odd reason.

Being able to view profiles from PM.
I think this would be a great, if not obvious feature to have.
I often get PM's from people for FS/FT and it's a pain in the butt to have to find one of their posts so I can reach their profile.

flagging of posts and PMs for moderator review

thread rating is useless but OK - (everybody has different values and interests)
make the sub-title of username user editable - (it would be fun)

Here's an idea: how about dynamic signatures? I'm thinking that I could tie my sig into my twitter account so my latest tweet is posted as my sig.
 
Whats the startup/switchover date for the Vbulletin Forum swap?

One of the forums I am active in uses Vbulletin.

Hi Everyone

We are moving away from FT and adopting vB for our forum. I don't have a hard deadline yet, as there is still a lot of work to be done. Just doing the import from FT takes about two days, so there will be some down time. We still have some technical issues to work out, and the best I can do on a general time frame is sometime between the end of this month and the end of the year. I'll be hugely surprised if we are able to move faster than that, and I'll be very disappointed if it takes longer ... so there that is.

There are no guarantees that suggestions made here will be carried out, but we are definitely listening to your feedback and will use it to help us make the best decisions possible wrt forum features.

We do already have a few plugins in mind, with the most invasive right now being that we will put censorship control in the hands of the members. Unregistered viewers will see **** while registered members will see the censored word by default. Members can choose to enable censorship for themselves.

This is also your opportunity to make feature requests. Please let us know what you want.
