I've been looking at purchasing the vBulletin package seen here. It would be for a small bulletin site. It needs to be easy to maintain, low in expense, etc.

Has anyone used this package before? Any others that i didn't see that you might recommend? Thanks !

I dunno....... vBulletin is nice but I like Fusetalk better. 😀 BTW, if you go with Fusetalk and need any help setting it up LMK. 🙂

I can't remember for sure and it seems e-zone's site is down. I "think" the encrypted version is $180 but i'm not sure. PM Zuni...... he should beable to tell you the exact prices......

I use vbulletin. It's a good program, using PHP and MySQL so you can have it hosted on a cheaper linux based server. The only downside I see is that you need to spend a good amount of time redoing the web front end as the stock configuration is messy, hurts the eyes, and too complicated for ordinary users. For instance, you don't get the clean look that anandtech forums appears to be -- but you can certainly do a lot editing to make it look that way. The developers of vbulletin have the mentality that "more is better".
