I don't want to go too far into P&N territory here, but I say we incentivize it (pay people as said earlier) or just outright require it. If up to 49% of births are accidents we would should easily save more than it would cost. We can even pick up the tab for the reversal and throw in a happy ending.

It would end up being called a raciest policy as soon as a person of color did it. That would be the end of the program.

I should skip the vasectomy and get them replaced then. Upon reflection Idiocracy could happen within my lifetime and I need to be ready when they start casting for Ow My Balls!

Question for guys that have had this done:

A client of mine wants me to drive 5 hours to their location just 3 days after I'll get my boys snipped. After 3 days would a car ride of that length be fine or overly uncomfortable?

Assuming no really odd side effects (like infection or something) it's no big deal. I'd maybe pack a cooler with some ice packs and toss them under your bits for 20 minutes a time once every hour just to help keep things cool/comfortable.

Dr. Dick Tapper did my vasectomy 14 years ago. Besides the worlds best/worst name for being a urologist, he had the world's "gayest" nurse that came in, shaved my junk, stretched it out like he was running a firehose, and then taped it to my stomach.

They put a curtain over my waist so I couldn't see what was going on after that. There was a lot of idle chatter, they kept commenting on "it's nice to have a larger sack to work with", because I guess a lot of guys shrivel up to nothing on the table, and then there was a sudden pain like getting kicked in the nuts by a football player. Dr. Tapper looked over and said "Aw come on, it's not that bad...I almost used all my medicine on you already!". He then took a giant needle, stuck it up in the air to be sure I could see it, then jabbed me like the shower scene on Psycho.

After that, I was told not to ejaculate for three weeks. THREE WEEKS! I don't think I've ever gone three days without masturbating. I have a diary of that period of my life. It's titled "The Dark Times."

A 5 hour drive might be much. Bring some ice packs and you'll probably want to stretch a couple times.

I had mine done last Thursday. Still tender but swelling is down, stitches aren't healed completely, still some bruising. I mowed the lawn last Sunday, no issues.

Had mine done yesterday. Apparently I'm mildly resistant to lidocaine so I felt him cutting at first. That wasn't pleasant. Clamping the vas felt like a kick in the nuts. At the end I had a stubborn small artery that wouldn't stop bleeding and it took 15 minutes to get it under control.

18 hours later and I'm still sore and swollen but beginning to feel better. Best part is I don't have to travel this week any longer.

I never used ice after and I had no pain--just some discomfort, and that was gone after a week. Just a local during the proc and some Tylenol 3 after, but I never used it. Hospital& doc billed about 4k but I only paid $20 oop since I already met my limit from my brain MRI.
That is the only surgery of 7 or so that went 100% perfectly and did what it was supposed to.
Also I don't have any kids.
