ok, so I think my pc is ok, but I"m not really sure.
here is what I just built:
k6-2 450mhz
some epox mobo
64meg ram
6 gig hdd
Geforce 2 mmx 32megs
win98 se
when I boot the pc, I get this error message saying that I'm missing a vnetbios.vxd file.
I can easily press any key to continue, but I would still like to get this problem fixed. Can I d/load that file somewhere?
2) In my previous post, I told you guys about this blue screen that appears EVERYTIME my pc goes to win98. You guys said it was a memory problem. I went to the bios, and disabled cpu internal cache, and external cache.
I dont know what I just did, but the blue screen went away. Can someone tell me what I just did? will it be ok to leave those 2 things disabled???
3) my win98 is extremely slow. I could swear that it takes 30 seconds for the start menu to pop up.
now is that a ram problem(considering that I only have 64megs of ram)? or should 64 megs be enough to handle win98??
