Vantec Tornado

I have a vantec tornado fan but I have no clue how fast it should be spinning. The harware monitor says around 2700 RPM. DOes anybody know if it is right? If it's not, how do you make it go faster?

To make it go faster, I think you need to hook up a fan controller to adjust rpm's. Correct me someone if I am mistaken.

Mine is at 4900 usually.....it shouldn't be at 2700rpm automatically unless you have a fan controller hooked up to it to make it spin slower.

I only have it hooked up to CPUFAN1 on the NF7 -S and to the power supply. I thought that it should be rated for like 4800 RPM.

That's why then. Fans on those are controlled by the powersupply based on the current system temperature. You can switch it over to a normal 4-pin molex if you feel it's too hot, but then there's the noise..

exactly. when i hook my fans up to the fan only PSU plugs my fans run at most half speed. at times it feels they are barely pushing any air. hook the fan up to a standard molex connector and it should run at full speed.
