Anyone have any experience with Vantec FCE 62540D. Building a 1.2 TBird 266 w/KT7A/ Sparkle 350 w ps. I see where they may be a bit noisy but does the performance outweigh the noise? Any other experiences with this setup?

I am currently using the Vantec FCE 62540D on my 1ghz TBird @ 1.296. It has to be the easiest to install of any heatsink I have ever had experience with. The only drawback is the noise of the delta fan but I can live with it. My temps are about 26 C idle and 44 C under load! Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply! I have heard it's a bit noisy but if I can keep the temps down like yours I stomach a little noise.

Thanks

hopefully 🙂 im already regretting my purchase of this hsf 🙂

Lapdog, Yeah it can be used on the fan header on the abit board. I have it plugged into the fan header on my KT7A and I have had no problems. The KT7A is one of the few boards that does put out enough power through the headers.
