What are people's opinions about this heatsink. I'm want to know if it is a good HSF as a whole unit, just the heatsink.

Yes it's a good heatsink. It's bigger than the FOP-38 and it's a little better at cooling the socket CPUs. The clip is the beauty of it. So easy to mount and no need for the any flat head screwdrivers.
