I like every movie mentioned in this thread so far:

Vanilla Sky, Open Your Eyes, Jacob's Ladder, Fight Club, and American Psycho.

Good job guys!

Whatever you do; don't watch Wicker Man (w/Nicholas Cage). Don't borrow it. Don't steal it. Don't rent it. And for the love of all mankind, don't BUY it. Don't even read a print review of the movie...especially if it has a screen shot from the movie.

I paid $19.95+tax for this piece of hsit. The letdown of biblical proportions was secondary only to the overall gravity-defying suckage of the movie, overall.

You haven't seen American Psycho? WTF?! :|

I really enjoyed the movie. Makes you wonder a bit after it's over and like spidey said if you watch it again you'll pick up on more details.

Plus Penelope Cruz is so fucking cute in it I could poop.

QFT FTMFW!

Loved that movie.

"I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion."

"I have to return some videotapes."

Didn't Penelope Cruz show her boobs in that one? I think that's all I remember about the movie. Same thing with Eyes Wide Shut, I really only remember Kidman getting naked.

Penelope's titties was one of the few plusses about the movie.

Nicole Kidman is cuter IMO. And I know I'm probably in the minority.

how the hell can you call 'vanilla sky' a piece of crap? what's wrong with you???

watch it again... maybe you'll pick up some appreciation for an awesome film after you see it twice.

"waaaah, this movie's too smart 🙁 i don't like it... it scares me..."

Just saw this film for the first time. What an absolute piece of crap. Who the fuck actually thinks that "it was all just a dream" is a good way to end a film? God dammit I want my 2 hours back.

Thats pretty much how Fight Club ended then.

That film was overrated too.

you shut your mouth...

I thought Vanilla Sky was great. Fight Club...not so much. Haven't seen American Psycho yet.

You are a blasphemer. I love Fight Club.

What was up with the ending? Okay, so I get the whole mental delusion thing with the Tyler Durden alter ego...fine...I can handle that.

But then he shoots himself and stands holding hands with his girlfriend as they watch the buildings explode around them. What was that? I didn't get it. There were some hilarious scenes in the movie though - the part where they were stealing the human fat was great.

Oh, I guess I should have mentioned a spoiler alert.

Thanks a lot asshole

Hardly a spoiler this many years after the movie came out. If you havent seen it by now, you probably never will, and consider yourself lucky.

That's one of the most fucking awesome movies ever. The little things - like Proximity Infatuation ('a woman you only met twice'), the way the scene where Cruise wakes up out on the street is lit (vanilla skies in the dream sequence with Cruz, steel gray/blue in reality), the rewind sound effect, the soundtrack etc.

I thought it made a great point on the tendency that a lot of lonely individuals have to construct great fantasy romances in their heads about 'the woman of their dreams', how people can believe they see perfection in someone/something they hardly know - just because they were at that point in life where they wanted to believe they had found 'the one'.
