Vanilla Ice is still doing concerts????

On Friday night, he came to our college town to do a show. What's even more surprising, 1,000 people actually paid $12 a piece to see him. WTF?? I guess it must have been a bunch of old school groupies or something. He had chics taking their shirts off on stage, which is cool, but I'm surprised that he's still touring (if you call it that)....

He's been to Lawrence before, and gets a good turnout every time.. It doesn't surprise me that he keeps coming back. I'm sure that 90% of those people were there just for the freak value, and the off-chance that he'd treat them to Ice Ice Baby.

But gotta admit that Ice Ice Baby was a cool song back in the day... Jr. High school memories!

Heh... I would've paid to see Sug Knight dangle him over a balcony. Not that I want to see him hurt, it would just be funny when he was in his heyday, thinking he was such a bad@$$ screaming like a girl.

Last year at my school, Drexel University in Philadlephia, Tiffany performed around noon on a Tuesday or Wednesday in an open courtyard. The real "I think we're alone now" Tiffany, all her songs were performed as harder rock versions, apparently like her new stuff. My buddies and I went between classes and one of my friends actually made a sign that said 'Kiss Me Tiffany' and she pulled him up on stage and kissed him. That was friggin' funny.

That guys life just completely imploded when he started getting dis'ed by rappers. Good for him to be making a living as a musician I guess. I can't imagine his music being any better than sucky but good for him to persevere.
