I am wondering any one tried to install this game more than 1 PC, do you really have to buy 2 copies of the game in order for both PCs to play online together?

My friend have a retail copy, he told me the game itself don't need CD key to install. so he give me the game to install, along with the trail cd key.

Can I just install the game with trail cd key, then pay the $15 monthly fee to play with my friend online?
