Planning a trip to the Pac NW in January. Will be there 9 days. Flying into seattle and then taking trains. Where should I spend the most time? Any advice/ suggestions about the area?

Get a city pass if you will be doing a lot of typical tourist stuff. Cheapest way to go by far.
Edit: Here's what I mean by Citypass: http://www.costco.com/Browse/P...amp;hierPath=111*4835*

If you've never been there, maybe consider checking out GameWorks in downtown Seattle. It's owned by Dreamworks studios (lame, I know) but it's gotta be one of the coolest arcades I've been in. They have a bar for christ's sake! 😀

take a ride on the ferry across Puget Sound
Victoria is nice place to visit. Take 2 days to travel to/from Van/Vic, because the ferry ride is 1h & 40min each way ++ 3h driving to/from ferry terminals & waiting time. The ferry ride is the most enjoyable trip between to Victoria, and then there is the inner harbor (parliament building/Empress hotel), and Canoe club/Spinnaker are some of the better place to kill sometime (Christy's Carriage House have great atmosphere with great beers, however the decor/building doesn?t look as nice as Canoe club/Spinnaker)Originally posted by: PowerEngineer
I'd drop the side trip to Portland inorder to spend more time in Vancouver (and maybe Victoria).
The Coho ferry between Victoria/Port Angeles suck donkey balls, because the services is terrible on an older boat (only run twice daily).take a ride on the ferry across Puget Sound
Wont it be a little cold in January for a ferry ride?
