Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines problem

I installed the game fine and when I click Play, my monitor doesn't show anything on the screen. The green light on my monitor turns to orange, but I can hear the menu sounds through my speakers. Has anyone encountered this or know of a fix?

Havn't encountered it but havn't started playing Vampire either. Sounds like a resolution issue. win2K?

WinXP w/ SP2. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my Geforce FX 5950 Ultra too.
