Value VX where did you go????

I was going to purchase some OCZ value VX RAM. Newegg doesn't have it. It isn't listed on OCZ's site anymore. Anyone know what happened??
 
They probably discontinued it because no one was buying the real VX 😛

Honestly i dont know, i hope theres not a shortage of Winbond UTT chips. We do have a few OCZ reps that frequent the CPU/Proc/OC forum if you want to ask there.
 
i don't think thats bh-5 utt anymore, that was 990992, it's more like the value vx, some will do 500 at 2-2-2, some can only go slightly above 200 at 2-2-2, at the time it came out, it was a great value also because of the timings for the price as well as the overclocking
 
I have found it a couple of places now. Just seems odd that it isn't even listed on OCZ's site anymore. Looks like it's been discontinued to me.
 
yes its been discontinued. newegg ran out a week ago or so and it pisses me off cuz i was just about to buy some for my comp and theres no way im spending 141 dollars at monarch to get it..

btw the vx gold is 10 bucks more at monarch lol..
 
sucks worse for me: i bought some 2 weeks ago, it's defective and now I can't get a replacement. But what do you guys think this is. On OCZ's site, it looks identical to the VX. Did they just change the model number?!
 
Looks like the Gold VX at newegg for $140. Last night newegg had the value VX on refurb for $97. I gamble and bought it. Hope I got lucky.
 
If I spend $140 on Gold VX (probbaly going to in order to get 2GB RAM) and it won't do 231mhz 2-2-2-7 like my VALUE VX does...

I'm gonna be real pissed.

no this is way different ram. i hope my value vx isn't defective. i will kill myself if it is 😀
