I have used Corsair Value Select for at least 10 builds. Not a single problem with them. PLUS!!!! Their RMA system is outstanding if you ever get a bad stick.

Kuba, sorry for the slow reply... I can personally attest to G.SKILL's RMA process. They actually went above & beyond in my case. I originally bought the 2GB Extreme PC4000 kit, and there was nothing wrong with it, EXCEPT that in my eVGA nF41 SLI mobo it's completely unusable. Wouldn't even pass memtest86+ at PC3200 speeds & relaxed timings. Dropped it in my other rigs, ran like a raped ape. The forums on eVGA's website recently were confirmed by an eVGA tech that certain memory types weren't compatable with the board. Of course, my memory topped the list of no-no's.

Long story slightly shorter, G.SKILL checked it out, & very quickly OK'ed an exchange for memory that was proven to work. I'm still pretty impressed by a company going that far to keep a customer happy. I got the new memory in about 3 days, and it's been running perfect.

As far as the warranty? All upgarde (performance) memory and all Extreme memory is lifetime warranty, the value stuff is 1 year.

I found the specs on the Kingston value ram

http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configu.../PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KHX3200AK2/2G

KHX3200AK2/2G - Part Detail
Description: 2GB 400MHz DDR Non-ECC CL2 (2-3-2-6-1) DIMM (Kit of 2)
Detailed Specifications: Standard 128M X 64 Non-ECC 400MHz 184-pin Unbuffered DIMM (SDRAM-DDR, 2.6V, CL2, Gold) (Datasheet)
Additional Info: Timing for this part: 2-3-2-6-1

If i can get these for $220-20 rebate(FRY'S) it seems like a good deal. I want to put them in an ASUS a8n-sli W/A64 3200+ and overclock.

I have heard a number of things about overclocking-
1)the A64 has different needs than the Intel chip?
2)get lower cas because if you get cas 2 you can raise it to either cas 2.5 or cas 3. If you get only cas 2.5 you can only go to cas 3
3) bandwidth vs low latency

Does higher cas mean more bandwidth but less headroom to overclock? Is there a short answer/primer to cover these things.

Thanks,
