Man, a thread reminded me of VACATION!
I've never had a vacation since before I started school, like, away from home-wise.
So I asked my boss for a week off unpaid, and he said okay. (I asked for unpaid sicne I havent worked here but for like 4 months and havent earned my first years worth of paid vacation)
So I'm going with my 1yr old son and my wife and my grandma to her place in Alpena, Michigan on Long Lake. Her and my grandpa built a place up there over the time frame of 5-7 years and have a good deal of land, 2 lots , one on one side of Long Lake Road, and one on the other on the lakefront. Both in the same spot, so its nice. We'e got a good stretch of land for whatever, house is built on the back lot. Its like, super luxurious, and I cant wait to go there, havent been there in over 12 years. So we're gonna go, open the place up, I'm leaving on June 11th, friday, after work, picking up my grandma, her truck and the 1220 tractor to cut the grass, then heading up for a 4 hour drive up there. i"ll stay there through the 20th, then I'll be heading back here.
I'm so effing excited, a week without work or anything, its almost too much! Still over 2 weeks to go.
I want to take the skiboat out though, my grandma doesn't want to 'cause she thinks I cant handle it but shes thinking of selling it and I want to take it out before she does so.
Well what are you all doing? Entitled to a vacation? Where are you going?
