All I want this year is to go somewhere close by (within a few hours of North Carolina) where I can relax....I do have a few list of things that I would like for the resort to have they are as follows:

Big Pool (maybe with a slide or lazy river)
Child care services

AND actual lounge chairs on the beach instead of me having to throw a beach blanket down.

AND I also want a HULA HUT...for those who don't know what they are...they are little straw unbrellas (kind of like an umbrella) on the beach where I can sit back out of the sun and enjoy the ocean and the breeze.

Is this really to much to ask???? The only place I know that has these things is in Nassau. We were wanting to stay somewhere close this year because we will have an infant with us.

HELP???????
 
There are hundreds of places offering that sort of thing in Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Kiawah Island, etc in SC. Sorry I can't be more specific, but those are some areas you can look into.
 
Yeah, I make myself take a vacation each year...sometimes more than one.

I've looked at Myrtle Beach and couldn't find a resort with Hula Huts!

My thoughts exactly.

My vacation time is inevitably spent on family functions (not that I'd want to miss them 🙂). I haven't been anywhere exotic in over ten years 🙁

Actually we almost went to St. Marten this year but decided to buy a house instead 😉

There are definitely those on the beaches across from the condos in the nicer part of Myrtle (think that's South Myrtle).
Although you could just......buy a beach umbrella.....I can imagine not wanting to have to travel with a lounge chair, but an umbrellas are light and don't take up much space....

Almost every resort/hotel rents lounge chairs/umbrellas.
 
Thats the thing, I don't want the lounge chair umbrella. Those things are expensive to rent. In the Bahamas the resorts have them on the beach (made of straw) and they are free. Much better than an umbrella.

Maybe I'm being picky 🙁
 
Hula huts seem like a deal breaker to me. I've never been anywhere in NC, SC, or GA where they have those. 🙁
 
The Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta has hula huts.

There are hula huts at Blue Bay Resort (Mt. Vernon) in St. Martin as well.

Those are the only places I have been to with hula huts.

I know, but its just not the same. I want a Hula Hut. Psycho does too. Maybe I will just go to the Bahamas. Its nice and quiet there, they have a swim up bar, lounge chairs on the beach, and HULA HUTS!!!!!!!
