20 paid vacation days, 8 sick days. Vacation days reset at the beginning of each calendar year (with a small amount of leeway, usually to the end of our Fiscal in March) so if you don't use them, you lose them, and that is that.

Sick Time/PTO/Vacation time is all the same for me...

I get 6 weeks to do whatever I want with (and there is no set limit on how much I can carry over)... but, they are getting ready to switch it to a accural method soon, no clue on the details on that yet.

I also get every federal holiday off (including the one just announced).

4 weeks vacation with up to one week roll-over (so I have 5 weeks next year). Plus 10 additional personal days.

Two weeks (ten 8-hour days) of paid vacation, beginning on January 1st of each year. Use 'em or lose 'em cause they don't rollover.

I get 80 hours of vacation time every year on my hire date. The hours must be used that year or you lose them. 90 day extensions are granted no questions asked, but extensions longer than that usually require extenuating circumstances.

Sick hours are accrued throughout the year, not sure what rate they accrue at.

We get paid our standard rate for any vacation hours left over when we leave the company. We don't get paid for sick hours.

We get NO vacation hours for the first year of employment. :|

Overall, my company is not very generous with vacation time.

I never took vacation at my company. I always made it a point to go somewhere else.

i think i get 240 PTO hours on my hire date anniversary.
this is for all personal time (sick vacation whatever)
not sure if they carry over, not sure if i will get paid out. hr is a mess, honestly

Forgot to mention earlier that every 7 years we get a 3 week sabbatical.
I've now had 5 weeks off paid, plus 21 PTO vacation days, in addition to about 11 sick days.

Won't really take any time off at my new job for at least a year.

Vacation: We accrue a certain number of hours per pay period, based on seniority, up to something like 30 days of vacation.
Holidays: We accrue at something like 3.xx hours per 2-week pay period, up to a 40 hour bank. there are 6 recognized holidays here, remaining time gets used at our own discretion. (Sick, Vacation, whatever)...so long as one doesn't throw away accrual time by going over the bank amount, it's like having another 5 days of vacation
Sick: Totally unlimited accrual. HR rationalizes that it makes up for the fact that we don't have short-term disability....even though it would take me years to accrue enough sick time to cover 6-months pay before long-term kicked in.

All my sick and vacation time is lumped into "paid time off" (PTO). I get 4 weeks a year, accruring them hours per week. This year we can cash out but next I don't think we can due to another company trying to aquire us.

(yeah...that's still ongoing and no it has been allowed yet by the US government.)
