Vacation Time

I get 10.5 hours of "PTO" every 2 weeks. I can use that for vacation, sick or medical leave, whatever I want. If I leave the company, I do not get paid for any extra time I have left over. Once a year, I can sell any PTO I want, as long as I have 80 hours remaining after the sale.

i get 20 days of paid vacation, 2 floating holidays, 6 sick days @ 100% and 121 @ 75%.

not including stat holidays of course.

dang thats a lot! I get 14.67 hours per month (22 days per year) PTO, and I thought that was pretty good. Can't sell it, and amounts remaining over 20 hrs expire each year.

Decent. It recently got all fucked up, but I see why.

We used to get 20 annual days to take whenever we wanted (whenever depending on what you're currently doing). This is in addition to stats/short/weekend/special/etc leave. We used to be able to let it all roll over past our fiscal year (1 April) and let it build up until we wanted to take it. Now, it all has to be used before the fiscal year end, otherwise they buy it out for like, $50/day. Boo. Makes sense, but still sucks.

Then again, all our leave is at 100%, including unlimited sick days.

To make matters short, it only takes me about 7 annual days in order to get 23 days off around Christmas time. I couldn't even tell you how much time off I get in a single year.

I get 20 days of paid vacation, 2 paid personal days, and 14 days of paid sick time. In addition, I get a whole bunch of paid government holidays off. That amounts to probably another 2 weeks total or so.

Technically, I only get the sick time up front, but the system works in a way that I pretty much get it all up front.

*EDIT*

Forgot to add that all my time with exception of the personal days rolls over and never goes away. My sick time does have a cap on it though at 600 hours. However, the nice part is that if I quit, get laid off, or retire then those remaining sick hours turn into cash.

heh, yeah, pretty crazy stuff. I can take off over a month each year if I saved it all up. It makes for a nice bonus paycheck once a year since I hardly use my time. 🙂

mine accrues every week, available as soon as it accrues. it rolls over and is never lost. ive never quit or been fired, so i dont know if we get paid out for it

17 days "PTO"/yr that accrues, plus 3 "floating holidays". (plus 7 standard holidays. though technically all 10 holidays are floating, and if you want to work on thanksgiving you could use that holiday another time or something.) have to use all holidays during the year. also have the option of purchasing extra vacation time at the beginning of the year -- instantly add another 5 days PTO, and they take a bit of money out of each paycheck. you can't save purchased vacation from year to year, but if you don't use it up by the end of the year you get the unused part refunded.

i think after i've been working here longer the base 17 days goes up too, but i don't remember the details.

can also go into negative vacation time. i assume there's some limit to that but i have not encountered it. 😛

i've assumed i would get paid out remaining time if i leave the job, though i don't remember for sure. it would be pretty shitty if you don't. certainly i'd have to pay them back if i quit with negative vacation.

I get 3 weeks vacation(120 hours, since I work 4 10's), 2 personal days every year. Also on most holidays we get a "deferred holiday", which is basically just another vacation day. So for instance Thanksgiving, once that passes, an extra day off is added. We also accrue like 2hrs of "sick time" every paycheck, and once you reach 192 sick hours, your accruement starts into personal time, instead of sick time.

Our sick time isn;t like most places though, you can only use it if you are off for more than 1 day. So you are sick, you call off the first day, must use either vacation or personal, but after that you can use your sicktime.

20 vacation days that accrue over the year, plus a couple floating holidays. Sick days do not count against vacation time at all, and are theoretically unlimited, but it'd be obvious if abuse happened. Also can carry 5 days over to the next calendar year.

It's about to change to something I have not looked into.

Currently, I receive 1.83 hours of vacation every two weeks, plus 1.54 hours of PTO every two weeks.

I have 8 hours PTO (gonna use 1/2 for the 24th and the rest somewhere else) and 25 hours of vacation. The former does not roll over and the latter does.

Old job was 18 PTO plus 5 sick. Could carry over 5 PTO each year (could have 25 sick banked).
New job is 19 PTO which includes sick, however I can buy 5 additional days a year. I can also carry over 5.
Days are earned per month.

My vacation and sick days are bundled in one pool. I accrue about 18 days/yr of vacation/sick time at the rate of 1.5 days/month. The good thing is that if I do not take any vacation or sick days, I can accrue to a max of 35 days. The bad thing is that if I fall sick, my days come out of the pool.

I get 6 months of sick and 2 weeks of leave (although I hit enough time for 3 weeks next year and a couple years later will hit the max of 4). All leave is given on jan 1.

12 days (96 hours) of vacation leave
12 days (96 hours) of sick leave
10 federal holidays

leave accrues on payday, can only carry over a max of 200 hours of each type from year to year

25 days per year. I can use them up or carry over 5.

Koing

I get 15 days per year and unlimited sick time. You can carry up to a pretty decent amount of vacation, but I prefer using it.

In the Army I got 2.5 days per month. Request off soon enough in advance and it usually wasn't an issue. If you're lucky you get a lot of 3 and 4 day weekends as well. No such thing as a sick day though.

25 vacation days a year, and I can carry over any unused time. We do have a 320hr cap, so starting in February I'll be off every other Friday.

5 sick leave days a year. That resets January 1st if not all used up.

10 paid holidays.

As for cashing out, I would get any vacation time, but not sick leave.
