my apartment when i was a kid was about 2 blocks over and 1 block up from there. i could walk out my front door and be in the water in about a minute and a half if i ran.

man this is bringing back a ton of memories. my GF from before i moved to oregon lives in La Jolla, i should be out there in a couple months to visit. and my mom worked in the Old Globe theater in Balbo Park when i was a kid, i spent most of my summers there. met Patrick Stewart there at a cast party. ooo warm fuzzys. thanks bro

I just went to vacation there in the middle of July! Went last October and this past January for a week each time for business, and had to take my wife there for vacation. I love it out there. Would love to move out there if my whole family would go and housing wasn't so expensive. Sigh....
 
I love San Diego. Funny but when I was TAD to North Island when I was in the Navy I hated it but I think that was because I had no car and California had the silly 21 year old drinking law even back then. I had an opportunity to go back there a few years back and spend a couple weeks and I really enjoyed it. It seemed to me to have all the advantages of Southern California without a lot of the disadvantages. It is one of the few places I would not hesitate to relocate to if that became a possibility.
 
You call San Diego a vacation? San Diego is quite boring actually. On top of that it has bad traffic and high gas prices.

Edit: I can't wait until I move away from San Diego.

I'll be in SD from 24th to the 28th.
We're taking the kids to Sea World then spending a couple days hanging out.
Beach, balboa park, La Jolla cove, etc.

I lived there for 6 months in 1993. I'd love to move back, but I'd have to find a job that would double my salary to even think about it.
