Vacation for Eits?

Hmmm... I have about 20 tabs open. I clicked on the link to Eits' thread from this thread. (I'm on satellite, so due to latency, I figured I'd come back to this thread later.)

A couple minutes later, I click on another tab and wonder how the heck, and when, I opened a thread about urination.

Then, I realized...

But, (and I don't mean to sound like a jerk) if you've been here for 6 years, you know that those threads are locked as a matter of practice. Why bother posting in that thread - giving it an unnecessary bump? Why all the bother with making a separate thread about it? Why didn't you simply PM a mod to make them aware of that thread?
 
That is so not banworthy in my opinion (not that my opinion means anything). I have had this debate with many an SO and would like to know the general consensus on this.
