Appears that son stabbed father multiple times and father shot son. Democratic state Sen. Creigh Deeds is in critical condition. I know I never got mad enough at a parent to stab them, especially by the time I was 24. Wonder if son has had previous problems. Another Beaver Cleaver family.

edit: now the news says the son stabbed Senator Deeds and then shot himself. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/pol...critical-condition-stabbing-article-1.1521697

Shens, what is a Democratic State Senator doing with a gun?

Or was that too soon?

Seriously though, I thought my family had issues.

How dare you attempt to turn a tragedy like this into a vile, "in your face" insult against a political group? What a classless and disgusting person you are.

No kidding. He was either supposed to fire through the front door with a shotgun, or, call the police and let them handle it.

If he had done the former, he'd have somehow scared away his son and he nor his son would have been harmed. If he'd done the latter the police would have got there in time to ensure no harm was done to either party.

I know the anti-gun zombies would never ever be mindless hypocrites, so they should be out in droves now protesting this terrible use of an assault weapon.

if he actually wants medical attention, then i guess he cares more about himself than his son.

i know that if anyone injured my dad, he'd just take it because he's such a nice little pussy.

Terrible. Let's hope the senator pulls through. As horrible as it is to lose a child, I can only imagine how painful it would be to have to kill one, or to have your husband/father kill your son/brother. I cannot even imagine ever getting so angry as to do something like this. Although reading this, I'm guessing that the gunshot might be self-inflicted, out of remorse.

Oh no they've switched techniques (if not tactics). They're going to come after pro-gunners for "politicizing a tragedy", despite the fact that gun control advocates were doing the Potomac 2-step on the bodies of children for months.

Million dollar question atm, did the father shoot the son, or was it self inflicted?

Good question. I'm assuming the father (or someone else not the father or son) shot the son. Why if you're the son would you go for a stabbing when instead you could just shoot dad a few times?

Right. It could be that he assaulted his son, cornered him, and his son had no choice but to repeatedly slam his dads hea, er, repeatedly stab his dad to escape the crazed man that his dad had become. Then, after seeing what he had to do to get away, shot himself with a gun his dad had left unproperly secured. You never know...

When a liberal makes a glib remark about a gun owner's dead family, it's an outrage and a travesty. But when it's about a dead Democrat, then it becomes just a joke.

Are we seeing some hypocrisy from the gun camp here on P&N? Yes, in spades.

You really need to get over yourself, and this forum. Nothing said here means jack shit.

You may not have intended to insult the dead man, but you did. You ought to think about what you post before you make tasteless comments. It's common sense.

I give a fuck about the dead man. I give a fuck about what you think. In fact, to be clear, go fuck yourself.
