Yes, I'm still on dialup like Gazillion of American people who live out in no mans land.

Have you tried the new and "improved" V92 protocol?

I picked up a Zoom Mod 3025 from OD @ about $60 and change to try out.

Anyone Else?????

well, v.92 will give you better upload speed, but I'm sure it depends on ISP's implementation.. (upto 48k from 33.6k) and I think one of the biggest feature on v.92 is the ability to temperary hold your net connection and use the phone, and later resume the connection..

I'm mainly waiting for USR to give me a free upgrade on the v.90 modem I have.. and Twinhead to issue v.92 driver for my notebook's modem (dunno if it'll work though...)

Well, if 3Com gives current owners of their V.90 modems a free upgrade to V.92, it might spark my interest. Otherwise, I don't really see much advantage in spending money on a new modem.

Actually, 3Com/USR is offering free V.92 upgrades, if your modem hardware is up to snuff.

Linked for your pleasure.

KestreI,

Is it some strange coincidence that you registered from the same IP as aRyll, the day aRyll was banned, and from the same username at Oregon State University?

Come back again, and we will not hesitate to contact Oregon State.
