V3m hacking/modding

i have a horribly crippled V3m from verizon, i know it voids warrenty ect but i really would like to put a new firmware on it so i can actually use the bluetooth and all the features the razr should have!

any ideas?

EDIT: Yes it will void your warranty, but they shouldn't be able to notice it if you are good. 😛

AFAIK file transfer over BT still hasn't been found, and the firmware still isn't out for the V3m. You can flash it to a V3c firmware, but you lose the use of the MicroSD slot. You can put wallpaper and ringers on it without a new firmware or seem editing.

how do you load ringtones from, say, a song? i loaded some music onto it, and its loaded in the correct ringtone format, but verizon sucks and wont allow it to work for some reason?

also, what firmware would you recomend i put on it? the verizon software is sooo ugly! even just skinning it would be an improvement

You can do it with Motorola Mobile Phone Tools ... Version 4.04 and later support the V3 series phones

Then flash it to the Alltell firmware? That's what I did. 😀
