V3 3000 @89mhz?

I goofed and bought a PIII 450 that I thought was a FCPGA and it's a Slot 1.🙁 My fault, btw, and not the sellers. I'd hoped to use a slotket making 133 easier.

The Gigabite GA6BXC has a setting for 133mhz and I'm hoping to run it there. The manuel states if jumped to 133mhz the AGP will be at 89mhz.

Does anyone have any experience running A V3 at 89mhz? What are my chances?



 
All p3 450's are katmai cores so they are all slot1. I have heard that most v3's make it to agp buses as high as 100MHz so im sure it wouldnt be a problem.
 
Yep, my Voodoo 3 3k would work at 89 or 100. BX6r2 it was in only had 2/3 or 1/1 setting, with the PIII600e running as a PIII800eb. Only problem I had was if set at 1/1 then it didn't like to be overclocked as high. V3 3k is in this system now, BX6r2 got a Geforce II MX, and went to the son for games. FWIW the Geforce doesn't mind the "overspec" speed either.
